The Story

Wintersthorn is an Alaskan heavy metal band forged from fire and frost - where ancient myth, raw emotion, and modern heaviness collide.  Their music tells the stories of survival, sacrifice, and the bond between humans and wild, set against frozen forests, raven omens, and skies burning with fire and light.  Blending crushing riffs, cinematic atmosphere, and dual-vocal intensity.  Wintersthorn creates songs that feel less like tracks and more like legends carved in stone, echoes of battles fought in the cold, carried forward by steel strings and unbroken will.

A five member band comprised of multi-discipline multi-instrument musicians who hail from Alaska but their lineages can be tracked to Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland.  Though the music they play is distinctly metal it has been known to have influences from American 80's and 90's metal artists, European metal and has been directly inspired by stunning guitar virtuosos like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Yngwie Malmsteen.
